PRI Pensionsgaranti pays SEK 250 million in dividends

PRI Pensionsgaranti has a consolidation that is above the target level and has had positive results in its insurance operations. Forward-looking analyses conclude that existing capital is sufficient to fulfil the mission of providing credit insurance to customers and growing in line with customer needs.

SEK 250 million will be paid out to credit insurance customers.

The amount is distributed proportionally per policyholder, based on refundable premiums over the last ten years (additional premiums are not refundable). To be eligible for a refund, the company must also have been a credit insurance customer of PRI Pensionsgaranti on 1 January 2026.  

Before disbursment, companies will receive a email stating the amount and information about which account (bg, pg or account number) we have registered. The information will also be published on the web service.

The disbursement is planned for May 2026. Companies will receive information about this a few weeks before payment. The informatin will also be published on the web service. 

To the customer company's account (bg, pg or account number). 

The dividend from PRI Pensionsgaranti reduces the company's pension costs and should therefore be recorded in the income statement under pension costs.

The dividend can also be recorded as a cost reduction (i.e. as a credit to the cost account where the credit insurance premium is normally recorded) or as other operating income.

The dividend is not subject to payroll tax, nor is the credit insurance premium. 

The calculation was made in two steps:

1.    PRI Pensionsgaranti has determined a total amount to be refunded to policyholders. The decision is based on several factors, of which PRI Pensionsgaranti's consolidation plays a very important part, but also its expected future capital requirements. 

2.    The amount is distributed among policyholders in proportion to how they contributed to the surplus. This is measured using 10 years of premium history.

PRI Pensionsgaranti is a mutual insurance company, which means that we are owned by the policyholders. If the company makes a profit and has sufficient capital to continue its operations, this profit is paid back to the policyholders.
