Important to consider as a policyholder

PRI Pensionsgaranti is a mutual insurance company. All companies with credit insurance are owners of the company.

Annual and interim reports

All policyholders must submit annual and interim reports as soon as they are adopted.

Information about changes

In the event of significant changes in the company, there is an obligation to inform PRI Pensionsgaranti, since reassessment of the credit insurance contract may be necessary. Examples of such changes are:

  • closure and disposal of businesses
  • changes in the ownership structure of the company or the group to which it belongs
  • merger and transfer of business
    • When a merger or transfer of a business takes place, the responsibility for pension commitments is also usually taken over. If the acquiring company does not have credit insurance, it must apply for credit insurance. In addition, in the event of a transfer of business, the persons entitled to a pension must give their consent. If there is a large number of persons entitled to a pension, the County Administrative Board may decide that such consent need not be obtained.

A mutual liability

The owners - the companies with credit insurance - of PRI Pensionsgaranti have mutual liability. The liability amounts to two per cent of the company's pension liability and is reported in the contingent liabilities note of the company's annual report.

Otherwise, please refer to the general insurance terms and conditions, which are found in the top right-hand corner.
